The Newark Department of Public Safety is notifying individuals in and around the city that the Alok Halloween event that was scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 28th at 5 p.m. and end on Sunday October 29th at 2 a.m. is cancelled.
According to city offcials, organizers' failure to obtain proper permits to host the event forced the cancellation.
Offcials said the event was scheduled to be held at the Newark Waterfront Center located at 1098-1100 McCarter Highway in Newark's North Ward.
Newark Police are requesting the public’s assistance in getting this message to others who either purchased tickets or were considering attending the Alok Halloween event.
