Man Arrested After Breaking Into Jersey City Store A Second Time

Police have arrested a man today who they say broke into the local Family Dollar twice to steal over $500.00 worth of products.

According to police, Robert J. Moore, broke into the Family Dollar on Bergen Avenue, to steal headphones.

Sometime after 1 a.m. police returned to the store for an alarm activation.

During a search of the area, police spotted Moore as he walked south on Bergen Avenue in possession of two buckets filled with the deodorants. Despite Moore’s attempt to flee on foot, police captured him a short distance away.

Police ultimately charged Moore with burglary, theft, resisting arrest and possession of burglary tools. 

Officers recovered $540 worth of merchandise that included deodorants and the headphones.
