Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Chief of Investigations John R. Speirs and Chester Police Chief Thomas Williver announce the implementation of a Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint in Chester for the weekend of October 28-29.
Law enforcement personnel from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Chester Police Department will conduct the checkpoint.
DWI checkpoints result from grants the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has received from the State Division of Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The DWI Enforcement Grants are designed to establish checkpoints in cooperation with municipal police departments throughout Morris County.
Further checkpoint dates will be announced in the future.
