There were no physical injuries reported for an armed carjacking that occurred in a parking lot at the Rite Aid in East Orange on Tuesday.
The frightening early morning armed carjacking was reported at the store located on Sanford and Central avenues shortly before 10:30 a.m. where an unidentified armed male suspect reportedly approached two females occupying a Kia vehicle and demanded the car at gunpoint.
The suspect was only described as a black male entered the vehicle then sped off according to reports.
Police recovered the vehicle a short time later near the Georgia King Village housing developments in Newark.
Police would not comment on the incident. There were no arrests reported.
