A shooting that occurred last night in Newark's Ironbound Section has police searching for suspects.
Reports of shots fired sent several police officers to the vicinity 35 Cortland Street before 9:00 p.m. where police, canvassing the area, found two male victims struck by gunfire at that location.
Newark officials said both victims were transported to University Hospital in stable condition.
Two male suspects were observed running from the area wearing dark clothing authorities said.
The investigation is active and ongoing. There were no arrests reported by police.
