Newark Police are on the search for the suspect that stole a city-owned vehicle earlier this evening.
Police were called to the Water and Sewage Department building located in the 200 block of Central Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. after an employee noticed one of the vehicles missing.
Officers began a search for a white 1997 GMC with NJ license plate numbers "MG-98208".
A thorough search around the city had officers locate the truck in the 40's block of Branford Place shortly before 5:25 p.m.
Police have launched an investigation.
