An armed carjacking that occurred in Newark's North Ward has police searching for suspects.
The incident occurred before 8:30 p.m. on Bloomfield Avenue where the victim reported to police that several black male suspects approached near North 11th Street armed with a gun and demanded the vehicle at gunpoint.
Police are looking for a silver 4-door 2013 Honda Accord with a reported NJ license plate number "X18-DRF" that was taken by the suspects.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries according to reports.
