Police announced the arrest of an Irvington man reportedly caught in possession of a handgun and narcotics.
According to police, on September 28th, police arrested Lamar Samuel, 25, of Irvington, for possession of a handgun and narcotics on South Munn Avenue.
Detective received reports of a suspicious male on a bicycle with a possible weapon and narcotics.
Responding officers observed Samuel, who fit the description of the suspect, and stopped him after he committed a bicycle violation.
Samuel was allegedly found in possession of a loaded and defaced .45 caliber handgun, 17 glassine envelopes of heroin, 68 Xanax pills and $109.00 in suspected proceeds from narcotics sales.
Samuel was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (defaced firearm), Possession of Prohibited Ammunition (hollow point bullet) and two counts of CDS Possession.
