Emergency responders are on the scene of a pedestrian strike that has a man seriously injured in Newark's Ironbound section.
The incident happened in the 70's block of Prospect Street shortly befor 9 p.m. where arriving police and EMS units found the victim bleeding heavily from a massive leg injury.
EMS rushed the man to University Hospital suffering life threatening injuries.
There is also s two-car crash with a possible intoxicated driver at the scene.
Police have the intersection of Ferry and Prospect closed at this time.
UPDATE 9:33pm Prospect and Lafayette is blocked off to traffic.
