A raging three-alarm fire that tore through a home in Hawthorne left firefighters injured and several residents displaced.
Heavy conditions brought more than a dozen firefighters to a house located at 50 Sunrise Drive shortly before 2:30 a.m. where crews battled flames pouring from the attic area of the home upon their arrival.
The three-alarm blaze caused arcing electrical line, and limited water supply made fighting the fire extremely difficult.
Firefighters were able to gain control of the fire in less than two hours with mutual assistance from multiple Passaic and Bergen County departments.
Two firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries, and about a half-dozen residents were displaced.
The cause is under investigation.
