Police are on the search for two suspects wanted for an aggravated assault that occurred in the city's East Ward.
According to police, police responded to a report of a robbery in progress at a bodega located at 62 Goble.
Police said the 43-year-old victim was outside the store with his wife when the first suspect made an inappropriate comment about the victim’s wife and an argument ensued.
A second suspect, riding a yellow bicycle, joined in the argument and was struck by the first suspect then cut with a knife by the second suspect with both men fleeing the scene.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects are both black men, both approximately 5’9” each with a thin build.
Police said the first suspect wore a white T-shirt with black sleeves, blue jeans, and red sneakers. He has a braided hair that is parted down the middle.
The remaining suspect wore a black T-shirt with a pattern on the chest and blue jeans.
Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
While police are actively searching for the two suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating them and removing him from city streets.
