There is an active investigation underway into a stabbing that sent a person to the hospital early this morning in Jersey City.
Police requested EMS on a rush after arriving at the 70's block of Fremont Street shortly before 1:55 a.m. and found the victim inside a building suffering a severe stab wound to the arm.
Officers began a search for a female victim last observed fleeing the building wearing a pink shirt and gray sweats.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors began surgery for the profusely bleeding wound.
Though the incident appeared to be domestic in nature, police are continuing to investigate the motive.
