Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person injured.
According to police, at approximately 5:20 a.m. today, police responded to the area of 55 Westervelt Avenue in Hawthorne on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found a 27-year-old Paterson man suffering from a single gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately transported to the Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
