A motorcycle crash that left one person dead overnight in Sayreville has State Police officials investigating.
Emergency responders were called to the northbound lanes of the highway just south of the Driscol Bridge after receiving reports of a crash with injuries.
Arriving emergency crews found a collision that involved a car and a motorcycle with one unconscious and unresponsive person laying on the ground seriously injured.
The victim was pronounced dead by medics at the scene and is reported to be the motorcyclist.
There were no other serious injuries reported.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
