Firefighters Battle Raging Four-Alarm Fire in Jersey City

A raging three-alarm fire that's burning inside a building in Jersey City has firefighters on the scene.

Heavy fire ripped through a commercial building located at 3718 John F. Kennedy Boulevard at around 5 p.m. where flames tore through the roof of the structure then extended to one other structure.

Crews were forced to evacuate the building and perform an exterior attack when fire poured from the first level of the building and the roof was in jeopardy of collapsing.

Crews have not gained control of the blaze as of 5:55 p.m.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.

The cause is under investigation.
