ALERT: Traffic Gridlock Expected in Harrison Due to Soccer World Cup Qualifier

Harrison Town Newark

Heads-up Hudson-Essex residents, if you are in the Ironbound section of Newark or residents of Harrison, you may want to avoid driving in or around Harrison beginning at around 4:00 p.m. as the U.S. Soccer Association has selected Red Bull Arena to host the FIFA World Cup Qualifier between ** The United States and Costa Rica** this evening.

The game will start at 6:30 p.m., but you should expect traffic gridlock in the Ironbound Section -using the Jackson Street Bridge-, Bergen Street (Harrison), Harrison Avenue, I-280 Harrison exists and streets around the arena beginning at around 4:30 p.m.

We recommend using mass transit to get to the arena today.

The Path Train has a Harrison stop, and NJ Transit #40 bus from Newark stops at Red Bull Arena.

We were told that the area has sold out all $25 and $189 seats.

As always, while in the Harrison and Newark this evening, save a couple of dollars to support **small businesses** in the area.

Visit our good friends over at **Nino's Pizza & Restaurant 442 Bergen Street**. It's the short walk to the arena.

Enjoy the game NJ!
