There are no injuries reported in a police involved shooting that occurred in Newark's North Ward a short time ago.
Police have several blocks taped off as detectives are on the scene looking into an incident where an officer fired his weapon in the area of Springdale Avenue and North 11th Street at around 9:40 p.m.
Police have one person in custody and hospital officials are being notified of potential walk-in victims.
The circumstances behind the shooting remains under investigation.
