Police are investigating several carjackings reported in the last 24-hours in Newark.
The latest incident was reported at around 11:20 p.m. near the intersection of Morris and 14th avenues where police were called to the scene to investigate a carjacking.
The victims met arriving units and reported that they were forced out of a vehicle at gunpoint by an armed male according to reports.
The armed man took the victims gray 2017 Toyota Camry, with out of state license plates, reports said.
Authorities said the suspect is described as a black male with dreads and had tattoos on his face.
The victims did not suffer any physical injuries.
A carjacking that occurred at the intersection of Washington and West Kinney street has police looking for a suspect who took a vehicle at gunpoint at around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The victim reported to arriving police officers that the male suspect took a Gold Mercedes Benz and fled westbound from that location. The victim did not suffer physical injuries.
The final incident occurred at around 11:25 a.m. Sunday on Nye Avenue sending police to the scene to search the area for a blue 2015 Maserati that was carjacked at gunpoint by suspects.
The vehicle was last observed heading into Irvington.
