Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect wanted for a carjacking that occurred in a parking lot of a hospital in the city.
Officers were called to the 200 block of Lyons Avenue after (Beth Israel Hospital) after receiving reports of a carjacking in progress before 7:30 a.m.
Arriving officers were met by a visually distraught woman who told that a male suspect took her car via of strong armed.
The carjacked car is a purple 4-door Mercedes Benz CLA-250 with a reported NJ license plate number "494-FZF" according to reports.
Police are looking for a black male suspect who was observed wearing dark clothing and a mask during the incident.
The woman did not suffer any physical injuries.
