Police in Newark are on the search for two suspects who reportedly held up a person in the city's North Ward then took their vehicle.
The incident was reported in the 100 block of Elwood Avenue before 3 a.m. where police were alerted to respond to the scene to investigate armed carjacking.
Two black males suspect approached the owner of a dark blue BMW 335i armed with a gun and demanded the vehicle reports said.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "T79-HZP".
Both suspects reportedly wore masks when they sped away from the scene in the vehicle heading southbound on Mount Prospect.
There were no physical injuries immediately reported.
