A multi-vehicle crash that occurred in Newark this evening had two firefighters transported to the hospital.
The accident happened around 5 p.m. at of South 13th Street and 15th Avenue where a fire chief's vehicle overturned after colliding with another vehicle at that location.
According to authorities, the firefighters were transported to University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
A parked vehicle was also badly damaged. There were no civilian injuries immediately reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
UPDATE 6:02 p.m. A Newark Fire SUV overturned at the intersection of 16th Avenue and South 13th Street after colliding with a second vehicle.
There are no reported injuries to civilians and only complaints of pain from the two firefighters.
