A weekend armed robbery at a local business has police investigating.
According to police, officers responded to Barbone's Service Center, located on Franklin Street, Sunday at approximately 11:20 a.m., for a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim who told police that a dark colored 2-door car with a temporary New Jersey license plate pulled up to the business.
A man, wearing glasses, got out of the vehicle and reportedly went into the office looking for a mechanic. Shortly after, a second male exited the car, entered the office and blocked the door while the first man allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded money.
The suspects reportedly made off with approximately $1,027 before they fled south on Belmont Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle was only described as a female.
There were no injuries immediately reported in this incident.
