An early Friday evening car crash that occurred in downtown Newark has a Newark Police Department employee fighting for his life in a city hospital.
According to authorities, the violent crash happened at around 4 pm at the intersection of Bleeker and Washington streets where emergency responders rushed to the scene to find the two car collision.
The severely injured victim -A Public Safety Communicator- for the police department was trnasorted to University Hospital in an unconscious state where he remains in critical condition authorities said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
