Police are on the scene investigating a shooting that occurred on a busy Jersey City Street this afternoon.
Multiple rounds of gunfire rang out in the area of Newark and Tonnelle avenues sending police to the scene 1:30 pm where they found multiple shell casings at that location.
According to preliminary reports, two victims flagged police down complaining of gunshot wounds. The pair was taken to Jersey City Medical Center in an unknown condition.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
