Fire officials in East Orange are investigating a fire that tore through a house in East Orange overnight.

The two-alarm fire broke out in the 80's block of Telford Street shortly before midnight sending firefighters to the scene where crews observed heavy fire coming from the rear of the structure.
Fire raced through the two-story building then began to extend to a home next door.
Crews were able to beat down the flames before entering the residence for their search for injured or trapped occupants. There were no serious injuries reported.
The American Red Cross assisted in relocating three families consisting of as many as nine people.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
