The suspicious death of an Ohio Man in Brick Township has authorities investigating.
According to officials from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, on Friday, August 4th at approximately 9:00 am, Major Crimes Unit detectives were dispatched to Ocean Medical Center in Brick to conduct a death investigation.
Authorities said investigators met with members of the Brick Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department (CSI) where they were advised that a 19-year-old male, identified as Austin Siler of Kettering, Ohio, was transported to the hospital by friends.
Officials said hospital staff attempted lifesaving measures with no success and Siler was pronounced dead at 8:21 am.
The body of the decedent was transported to Community Medical Center where a post mortem examination is underway.
Authoritites said the investigation is ongoing pending the Medical Examiners full report that will include toxicology findings.
There is no evidence to suggest that the decedent’s death is connected to any criminal activity.
