A rash of car burglaries reported around the city has police investigating nearly a dozen incidents.
The most recent incident occurred overnight on Osborne Terrace where suspects smashed the windows of two vehicles taking personal possessions before fleeing the scene. Residents in the area said that thieves vandalized five other cars about a week prior.
On Friday, thieves targeted two vehicles on Renner Avenue where they ransacked the cars and took several personal items from the vehicles.
The final incident occurred on Mead Street in the city's West Ward on Wednesday, July 19th where thieves stole items from vehicles after destroying the windows.
The burglaries remain under investigation by Newark Police.
