A person struck by a vehicle on Rt. 22 in Union was transported to University Hospital in Newark suffering non-life threatening injuries at this time.
Emergency responders were called to the 1600 block of Rt. 22 west -near the Aarti's Liquors- at around 10:10 p.m. where they found the victim suffering a head and abdominal injuries according to reports.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Union Police are investigating the cause.
