A distracted driver who struck a pedestrian in Roseland early this morning has police investigating.
According to a Roseland city councilman, at approximately 6:55 am, the out of state pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries after was struck by a motor vehicle while walking on the sidewalk westbound on Harrison Avenue.
The driver, traveling westbound, was distracted when he saw a man walking his pet pig and struck the pedestrian the councilman said.
EMS rushed the victim to Morristown Hospital suffering neck and head injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate.
