Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help identifying suspects in connection with two auto burglaries in the area of New York Avenue and New Jersey Railroad Avenue.
The first incident occurred on Friday, July 7, 2017 (Suspect in Yellow Jacket).
A victim reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle, which was briefly parked in the area.
Police said the second incident occurred yesterday (Friday). Detectives have gathered evidence that the same male was involved in both burglaries.
While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.
This investigation is continuing.
