Knifepoint Robbery Suspects Wanted by Newark Police

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying the below pictured male suspect who is wanted for a robbery that occurred on Thursday, July 6, 2017.

According to Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose at approximately 1:50 a.m., police responded to a robbery call in the 200-block of Abington Avenue.

Director Ambrose said a male suspect approached a male victim from behind and robbed him at knife point of personal items including an iPhone and the victim’s wallet.

The suspect was last observed running southbound on 4th Street.

The victims was uninjured during the robbery.

While police are actively searching for this suspect and for his accomplices, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.

The investigation is ongoing.
