A fatal stabbing that occurred at a residence in Moorestown has Burlington County authorities investigating.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened in the 700 block of Hartford Road shortly before 12:30 a.m. where police rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a home invasion robbery in progress.
First responding officers located a male victim bleeding after suffering a severe stab wound.
The injured man was pronounced dead a short time later according to reports.
The homeowner reported to police that the injured male was found inside the house before when a physical struggle occurred resulting in the alleged perpetrator suffering the stab wound.
There were no reports of serious injuries to the homeowner.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
