Firefighters Wednesday evening responded to the 100 block of Route 22 for a report of an activated fire alarm at a business strip.
Upon arrival, firefighters detected a strong odor of something burning and forced entry into business.
Once inside, a vapor cloud filled the business that rapidly caused throat and eye irritations to the responding crew.
Crews ultimately determined the alarm was activated after a freon leak coming from a commercial refridgerator.
There were no serious immediate injuries reported.
