Police are hoping the person or persons responsible for starting a fire at a cinder block company in Saddle Brook, July 4th, turn themselves in.
Crews responded to Clayton Cinder Block on North 5th Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday, for a report of a fire.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze which appears to have been started after someone lit some desk papers on fire reportedly with a blowtorch.
Firefighters during a search found a fire extinguisher that is believed to have been used by the arsonists. Authorities believe the arsonist may have attempted to put out the fire before fleeing.
Fingerprints and evidence has been collected. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video.
The incident remains under investigation.
