Jersey City Gunfire Injures Two Children, Two Adults Struck by Gunfire in Jersey City

EMS rushed two children to Jersey City Medical Center suffering non-life threatening injuries after gunfire rang out in a neighborhood in Jersey City Sunday night.

Police responded to the 9 p.m. shooting that occurred at and address on Wilkerson Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive where arriving officers found three people injured after being shot at that location. The children were 12 and 10-year-olds according to authorities.

Three victims suffered gunshot wounds to the stomach and arms while a fourth victim entered Jersey City Medical Center suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm according to reports.

The children were admitted into surgery where medical staff treated the pair.

The motive for the shootings are under investigation.
