Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces the guilty plea of Miguel A. Delacruz, 39, of Clifton, New Jersey.
According to authorities on June 30, 2017, Mr. Delacruz pleaded guilty before the Honorable Marybel Mercado-Ramirez, J.S.C.
Delacruz pled guilty to one count of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault for an incident that took place in November of 2012 in a Passai bar authorities said.
Mr. Delacruz admitted to committing an act of sexual penetration upon the victim, who was an employee in the bar, while being aided or abetted by one or more other persons and using physical force or coercion during the assault.
Mr. Delacruz’s plea agreement calls for him to serve 12 years in New Jersey State Prison with eighty-five percent to be served before parole eligibility and will also have to undergo an Evaluation.
Upon release, Mr. Delacruz will be placed on Parole Supervision for Life and must register under Megan’s Law as a sex offender.
