Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire ignited inside a Knights of Columbus facility in Fair Lawn overnight.
Crews responded to the Fair Lawn Knights of Columbus Hall located on Maple Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. to find smoke and fire coming from the building.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fast-moving fire quickly but performed several searches throughout the facility for possible pockets of hidden fire.
According to preliminary reports, fire officials located several suspicious items that will be used for the investigation into what caused the blaze.
There were no serious injuries reported when crews placed the fire under control.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
