Newark Man Admits Driving Getaway Car in Elizabeth, PA Killing Spree

Elizabeth Newark Pennsylvania

A Newark man identified as the driver of the getaway vehicle involved in a NJ, PA Killing spree, pleads guilty Tuesday.

Kareem Mitchell pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit third-degree murder. Under the deal, his sentence will be 7 years and six months to 15 years in state prison.

According to authorities, Mitchell told investigators that on July 4, 2015, he agreed to give Robert Jourdain, his 2-year-old son, and West, (whom he had never met before) a ride.

After they dropped off Jourdain's son child, the three men went to Allentown so West could get a haircut, then to an after-hours club, and to a Walmart in Lower Nazareth Township where Jourdain bought a 50-count box of .38-caliber bullets at about 2:30 a.m.

As the three were driving through Easton, West spotted and killed Kory Ketrow at random.

Then West opened fire and killed Trevor D. Gray, 21, and Francine E. Ramos, 32, who were found dead on Sixth and Greenleaf streets.

Todd West, of Elizabeth, was charged with seven killings - three in Pennsylvania and four in New Jersey.
