**UPDATE 2:26pm The extensive recovery effort was made by Newark Fire Dept. USAR Company (Urbana Search and Rescue), University Hospital Emergency Medical Sevice Division, Montclair, and Cedar Grove Fire Departments.
Authorities confirm that a 49-year- old Wayne bicyclist who lost control and fell off a cliff at Mills Reservation at 9 this morning was killed.
The body of a 49-year-old male was recovered at Mills Reservation at approximately 11:25 a.m. today.
Sheriff Armando Fontoura said the victim, a resident of Wayne, had been riding his mountain bicycle when he lost control of it near the edge of the road and plummeted approximately 20 feet onto a rocky ledge.
While an investigation into the incident is on-going it appears to have been an accident and no foul play is suspected at this time.
The brother of the deceased was riding with the victim this morning. He notified law enforcement of the incident and remained on the scene.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of other family members.
