Police in Elizabeth are on the search for two suspects wanted for a theft that occurred in Elizabeth earlier in the week.
According to authorities, on June 20, at approximately 12:45 p.m., a tall thin white male who was wearing a yellow t-shirt and beige pants knocked on the door to a home in the 200 block of High Street.
The suspect reportedly claimed to work for the water company and wanted to check the water pressure according to authorities.
The suspect then called his "supervisor" who police described as a white female wearing a black dress.
Police said, while inside the home, the white male suspect stole $250 in cash from the victim's bedroom before leaving the residence.
The suspects fled in a dark gray Toyota Sienna minivan west on Third Avenue and then north on South Street.
Police said there were no other similar reported incidents at this time.
