A 48-year-old NY attempting to steal passengers' luggage from Newark airport was taken into custody, according to officials.
Port Authority police responded to the arrival level at Terminal C Monday after a man attempted removing luggage in at least two occasions from airport passengers.
The suspect, later identified as Dashon Devine, 48, of Brooklyn, was arrested by police near an airport curbside after he attempted to flee after one of the passengers confronted him.
Devine was charged with theft by unlawful taking, hindering apprehension, possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping.
He was also found to have two warrants from Newark totaling more than $2,000.
