Police are investigating a stabbing incident that has an Old Bridge man suffering serious injuries in Elizabeth this evening.

Police and EMS responded to the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue after receiving reports of a stabbing in progress at around 7 p.m.
Upon their arrival, emergency responders located an unidentified
Old Bridge man suffering multiple stab wounds according to reports.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital, where he is reportedly in stable condition.
Witnesses told officers that they saw three males - two of which were reportedly shirtless - fleeing the scene.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
