A shooting that left a man dead early this morning in Newark has authorities identifying the victim.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office identified the victim as Edgard Patricio Jimenez Dominguez, 27, of Newark.
Authorities said Dominguez was fatally shot this morning before 6 a.m. and pronounced dead at 6:06 a.m.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests made.
