Police in Newark are reporting the arrest of **Mr. Quadeer Green, of Elizabeth, and Mr. Darnell McMillon**, of Newark, both 21, for a carjacking that occurred (yesterday) Friday.
Though the charges lodged against Mr. Green and Mr. McMillon are mere allegations and the men are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, police said at approximately 4 p.m., the two men approached a vehicle in the 100-block of Chestnut Street and demanded the car keys from the driver who drove off.
Police said Mr. Green and Mr. McMillion then fled on foot.
Officers canvassing the area located the pair, who they said fit the description of the responsible suspects, placed them under arrest without incident, charging them with carjacking.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
There were no physical injuries reported.
