Authorities in Plainfield are investigating a shooting that caused injuries to one victim in the city overnight.
Gunfire erupted in the 800 block of West 3rd Street shortly before midnight sending police to the scene where they located the victim shot at that location.
EMS transported the unidentified victim to the hospital suffering at least two gunshot wounds according to preliminary reports.
The victims' injuries were not immediately reported as life threatening.
An investigation is active and ongoing. '
There were no arrests reported.
