An early morning crash on the NJ Turnpike that caused fatal injuries in Cranbury.
According to preliminary reports, at around 5:30 a.m on the NJ Turnpike's inner roadway southbound lanes just north of Interchange 8-NJ33 a car reportedly lost control and struck a guardrail causing the vehicle to overturn trapping the driver.
At least one person was pronounced dead a short time later.
The crash snarled rush hour traffic on the Turnpike as authorities conducted the investigation.
