There is a crime scene established and an investigation underway into a shooting that caused critical injuries to a male in Jersey City this evening.
Police responded to the area of Martin Luther King Drive at Union Street this evening where they found the victim suffering multiple gunshot injuries including one to the head at that location.
The extent of the incident victim's injuries were reported as "life-threatening" according to reports.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
