A motorcycle crash that left a man dead on the Garden State Parkway in Newark overnight has State Police investigating.
According to authorities from the NJ State Police, the incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway where police received a call for a crash with injuries.
Emergency responders arriving at the scene found **Naiheem Howell, 23, of Hillside** laying on the highway unconscious and unresponsive authorities said.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Howell was operating a 2007 Yamaha when he crashed into the rear of a Nissan Sedan, ejecting him from the motorcycle.
Medics pronounced Howell dead at the scene authorities said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
There were no other injuries reported.
