Police checked the teen's block of Jewett Avenue for evidence of a stabbing after a woman arrived at a local hospital suffering injury.
Officials at the Jersey City Medica Center contacted authorities when a female victim arrived at the hospital before 3:30 a.m. suffering a stab injury to the chest according to reports.
The woman's injury was not immediately reported as life threatening.
There were no arrests made.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
