Troopers from the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit have located and arrested Rontray Durham, 20, of Fairfield Township, who was wanted for attempted murder.
According to police, on Sunday May, 28, Durham allegedly shot and wounded the victim during an altercation in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County.
When troopers and detectives from the New Jersey State Police Bridgeton Station arrived at the scene, Durham had already fled.
The New Jersey State Police Fugitive and Canine Units were able to quickly identify and locate Durham later that day at a store in Millville City.
Rontray Durham was arrested without incident.
He was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon and lodged at the Cumberland County Jail on a no bail warrant.
The case remains active and is being investigated by Troop "A" Criminal Investigations Office and Homicide South Unit.
Charges are mere accusations and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
